Where do I start with Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort? Well let’s just say I love any resort that has boat transportation. And, this one is no exception, with the boats that take you straight to Magic Kingdom Park. How great is it to not have to worry about parking?! Buuuut, if the weather is not permitting, this resort has the Monorail sitting right outside the front door waiting for you!! Seriously.. how amazing is that?! The Polynesian Village Resort is definitely one of the more prestige Disney Resorts. Everything is at your fingertips, including childcare! Yes, that’s right.. you and your sweetie could actually have a night out alone on your family vacation with the kids! Whaaat?! This resort offers Lilo’s Playhouse, which is a supervised children’s activity center for kids 3-12 years old. And, if you would prefer your kids stay in the room while you’re enjoying a night in Downtown Disney, an independent childcare provider, Kids Nite Out, is available for hire! Now that is just total awesomeness to have the best of both worlds! So, what else does the Polynesian Village Resort have to offer? How about 8 different dining locations.. you could actually eat at a new restaurant every day of the week, with an extra to spare. Sweet! Not only that, this resort is home to the famous “Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show”. While vacationing here, this is a must see show, with Hula Dancers and Fire Dancers! And, of course the kiddos will want to have breakfast with the Disney Characters at the Ohana restaurant. Too much fun!! Now the Polynesian Village Resort would not be complete without one of the most amazing pools you’ve ever seen.. you’re sure to spend a lot of time at the Lava Pool and may even be tempted to sneak over to Kiki Tikis Splash Play with the kids. 😉 The second pool was under construction when we went, but I have a feeling they are making it super duper amazing. Guess we’ll have to go back to check that out when it’s done. 😉 Now believe it or not, I’ve been saving the best for last…….drum roll please…… Bora Bora Bungalows! Yes, that’s right, this resort offers 20 Bungalows located over top the Seven Seas Lagoon. I do believe these just opened a few months back, so you can be one of the first to take advantage of this breathtaking overwater retreat! I mean, can you imagine watching the nightly Magic Kingdom fireworks while sitting on your private deck over the water? :):) Shucks, I sure can! Well, I will leave you with a little hint as I close.. there is a running trail that connects to the Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. And, for the record, I definitely recommend making your way over there. 😉
