Whoa! Favored Friends… when I wrote my last post, Do You Believe God Still Heals People Today, I intended on following it up with a certain healing story from last week. BUT, what happened since then has been absolutely life changing and I now have an even better story to share with you!!
How do I start, except by saying that God is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! Now, I thought I knew this before, but let me tell you that I now know this on a totally different level.
Last week, a guest Pastor came to Eagle Mountain International Church. This is the church that my husband and I are currently e-members of, as they are located in Texas and we are in Florida. At first I did not know anything about the Pastor, Billy Burke and was initially taken aback by him. But, I trust the integrity of the Pastors of EMIC and knew that they wouldn’t stand behind anyone who wasn’t called of the Lord.
So, I opened up my heart and began to take in the teaching and ministry of this Pastor. I was very moved by the morning service. But, it wasn’t until I watched the whole 3+ hour evening service that my life was changed. I witnessed miracles that I had never seen before. And, I became very curious about Pastor Billy, so I Googled him to see where his ministry was based out of.
To say that I was shocked by what I found is an understatement. What I found was that this Pastor is located in our home town, Tampa, Fl. What?! How crazy is that? Now, we are currently living about an hour outside of Tampa, but are in the process of moving back towards that area in the near future. However, I decided right away that we had to go see this Pastor in person the next church service.
Fast forward to Saturday. My husband was on a job that night, so I attended what I thought was going to be just a regular church service by myself. Boy was I wrong!
What I experienced was a supernatural healing!!!
At the end of the teaching, Pastor Billy walked over to an elderly woman who didn’t appear to be doing well. She had bone cancer, along with a myriad of other ailments and could not walk very well. Long story short, when the Pastor prayed over her, all pain went away and she basically ran back to her seat! It was truly amazing to see that life-changing transformation take place right before my eyes!
They then began to ask for other people who came for healing to come up to the front. Now, I had decided that I would only go up if somebody called me out. Well, would you know that there was a lady there that locked eyes with me. I knew why she was looking at me, but I was not about to walk to the front of the room by myself. So, I just smiled and nodded.
Well, I’m thinking that God must have spoke to her, because she walked to the back of the room towards me and basically encouraged me to go be prayed over if I needed healing. Well, the truth is that I did need healing, but that’s not why I was there. However, after much prodding, I decided to go up front.
And, oh my golly!! My heart was beating soooo fast and hard, I felt like I could actually hear it thumping in my ears. And, then…… the Pastor called me over. I explained that although I did not come for healing that I could definitely use some. I explained that I had issues with my neck and back since I was a child. (To be more specific, I had been going to Chiropractors since I was 15 and experienced pain for as long as I can remember.) But, there was no time to give all the details, so I just gave a little information.
But, what happened next was incredible!!!!
The Pastor asked if I still felt pain. Now, I had witnessed him do this with other people in the church services that I watched before and what happened every single time was that the person would check their body for pain, only to find out that the pain was gone!!
So, I knew I was not gonna be able to check for pain right that moment, because the pain would intensify usually after doing some sort of physical activity. But, I knew there was one simple movement that I could try. I don’t know the name of it, but it’s basically a shoulder stretch where you cross your arms behind your back and touch your hands.
Up until that moment, I could only do this move with one arm. The other arm would lock up and prevent my hands from touching. There was usually about a 6-inch gap between my hands. And, despite going to several Chiropractors over the years, I was never able to be completely healed from injuries and it therefore limited my range of movement.
BUT, when I tried to touch my hands this time, something different happened. I was able to do it with both arms!!! There was no pain or discomfort. My body for the first time ever felt as if it was in complete alignment. I was in absolute shock! I was healed!! God actually healed my back!!!
And, the craziest part about it all was that the Pastor did not even have to lay hands on me. It just happened. It was as if God just pressed the pause button for the rest of the world, reached down from Heaven and touched me with His healing hands. So pure. So peaceful. So amazing.
Since then, my mind has been expanded and my faith has been stretched. I now know that ANYBODY can receive healing! And, it makes me wonder why anyone would ever choose to suffer when they don’t have to. Although I think I know the answer. I think it’s unbelief. Some people don’t believe God heals people. And, that makes me sad to think about it. But, the truth is that it is ALWAYS God’s will to heal.
