Day 3 of resort hopping! Eli and I are having so much fun that it doesn’t even seem fair..but I know it is, because we are living the Favored life! 🙂 On Tuesday we paid a visit to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. Upon entering the Lobby we were greeted by 3 Cast Members, one of which took at least 10 minutes to make Eli laugh. He asked if Eli was a pirate and I said of course! (We’re from Tampa.. what can I say?! Gasparilla…;)) He then went into the secret stash and pulled out a sword, an eye patch and a pirate rubber ducky! Eli just loved it and so did I! Hey, I love anyone that takes time to entertain Eli.. 🙂 After looking at the map, I quickly realized that we would not be trekking through this whole resort by foot, because it is MASSIVE! So, we picked the most happening spot and dropped in there! On to “Old Port Royale”! That is where we found the Fuentes del Morro Pool and Aqua Pool Area. Now this made you feel like you had just stopped at a Port while taking a Caribbean Cruise. Awesome Calypso style music was playing, the lifeguards were all dancing in sync and games were being played with all the kids. Definitely a place that puts a smile on your face and makes you want to stay awhile! And, to think this was just one of the 7 or 8 other pools in the resort. Along with the water area for all to enjoy, there was an awesome boardwalk that weaved through a lushly landscaped area and along the water. As you’ll see from the pictures, the views are breathtaking! And, for those who love the feeling of sand between their toes, there are several manmade beaches with lounge chairs to lay back and soak up the sun. Or perhaps you want to enjoy one of the secluded hammocks while the kids play nearby at the Caribbean Cay Playground? Either way, you are sure to be wowed by this resort. Now I would have liked to snap some pictures of the different resort buildings, but we got too caught up playing. 😉 But, I’m sure you will love the authenticity of each one, whether you choose to stay in Aruba, Jamaica, Barbados, Martinique, Trinidad North or Trinidad South! All of them are wrapped around Barefoot Bay, so if you love the water views, it’s worth the upgrade.
In synopsis, if you’re feeling an itch for a Caribbean Cruise, but the kids want to go to Disney World, this is definitely a win-win for all! [pinit]
