On Thursday, Eli and I paid a visit to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. This brought back a lot of memories, as I have attended several Business Conventions at this resort over the years. And, after speaking with one of the Cast Members, I now know why this particular group always held their events here. Coronado Springs is actually famous for their Convention Center! It has more meeting rooms than the Orlando Convention Center. And, as it turns out, Coronado Springs actually has the largest ballroom in the southeastern United States. Now I gotta tell you, if you are hosting a Convention, this is the way to go. I mean, who wouldn’t want to turn a business meeting into a Disney family vacation?! This is a perfect way to mix business and pleasure. 😉 While you and your business partners, employees and/or team members are attending a conference, your family can be living it up at this gorgeous property. And, as soon as your meetings are done, you are in walking distance of all the festivities! Or perhaps you want to come in early or stay a couple days after your conference so you can take the family to the parks. Either way, the opportunities are endless! The Coronado Springs Resort is wrapped around Lago Dorado, which is a very tranquil lake that will leave you very content to stay on property. And, with 6 different delicious places to dine, there is something sure to please even the pickiest eater of the family. For recreation, you have the Lost City of Cibola Pool, which has a super fun water slide the little kiddos (and the big kiddos!) are sure to love! You also have the Explorer’s Playground, Iguana Arcade, a Campfire site, La Vida Health Club and Casa de Belleza Beauty Salon! And, for the runners in the family, there is the new balance Running Trail, which is a 1 mile trail that loops you through the whole property. Oh, annnd this resort is part of the Disney’s Vacation Club. Shucks, the more I think about it, the better the Coronado Springs gets!
