Hello Favored Friends! Thank You for stopping by! I can’t wait to get to know you all personally. My desire is for this blog to first of all help you realize that you can and should live a FAVORED LIFE. May this blog also offer encouragement to each and every one of you to rekindle the fire inside of you and reconnect with the dreams that may have been lying dormant for a while. (For some, a looooooong while!)
One of my biggest dreams has always been to be a writer. It is a dream that I have suppressed for many years, due to lack of time, money or resources. (Those are the excuses I or someone else always gave me.) But, I am now giving way to that dream, and I must admit it is very exhilarating!
As a mom, I am still a newbie. My son is turning 2 in June. And, I am just amazed that I survived! It has been an exciting time of learning and laughing through the struggles. From the moment I found out I was pregnant, I constantly said.. “I can’t believe that women actually go through this! …And, then they do it again!” I pretty much still wonder the same thing. However, I must admit that I have become completely smitten by Eli’s adorable smiles and giggles!
I have been very fortunate to have stayed home with Eli since he was born. It has definitely been by the grace of God that we made it through. And, although it was a struggle, I am eternally grateful for the time I’ve been able to spend with my family. My husband and I are small business owners. As entrepreneurs, we have been through our share of financial roller coasters, but thankfully that ride finally ended and we have found ourselves on stable and prosperous ground. Hallelujah!!
And, it is now that I can focus on my purpose which was laid out for me in 2003. I call this my Isaiah 61 purpose. If you are a Bible reader, you know what I’m talking about. If you are not, have no fear, I will explain in a later post. 🙂
I have always felt a higher calling to help others out of the rut of mediocrity. However, sometimes that has been a challenge when I have found myself there more times than I’d like to admit. But each time I have had a stumbling block, I have used that as a stepping stone for higher ground. So, what do I mean by “rut of mediocrity”?
So often people just blindly walk through life and do as the society directs. But, then they find themselves in a place they never wanted to be and have no idea how to get out. My goal is for this blog to be your lifeline. We are here to empower and equip you to fulfill your dreams and goals. And, above all else, to remind you that YOU ARE FAVORED and it’s time to live the FAVORED LIFE!
